Chiropractic Manipulation

Chiropractic manipulation is a very safe and effective tool to increase mobility to joints, decrease inflammation and restore balance to the body. Chiropractic manipulation is used to help restore normal function and motion to a joint that is fixated. This procedure typically involves gentle pressure or a shallow thrust to restore optimal motion. An adjustment may be accompanied by a “pop” or “cracking” noise, which is simply nitrogen gas being released. Patients benefit from our manipulative therapy techniques, which are based on the most current research. We aim to provide our patients the most effective conservative care techniques available, and to achieve long-term results in fewer treatment sessions.

Active Release Technique

ART is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue manipulation technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. This aberrant tissue can be caused by acute injuries, chronic micro-trauma (i.e. repetitive movement), or hypoxia (not enough oxygen). Each of these factors can cause your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue in the affected area. This scar tissue binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve is trapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness.

Neuropathy and Chronic Nerve Discomfort

Peripheral neuropathy is a condition characterized by nerve damage, leading to symptoms such as weakness, burning pain, numbness, tingling, and balance issues. Causes include poor blood flow, diabetes, chronic infections, pesticide exposure, and genetic factors. Autoimmune diseases can also contribute, as the immune system may attack nerves. Successful treatment involves identifying the specific cause, assessing the severity of damage, determining the types of affected nerve fibers, and estimating the required treatment duration. Scientific literature confirms nerve healing is possible. A comprehensive treatment program focuses on optimizing the body’s environment for healing, increasing blood flow to nerves, stimulating damaged nerves, and reducing brain-based pain. The protocol, performed at home, employs up to eight advanced technologies, yielding positive results without surgery or addictive medications. For those experiencing neuropathy, an evaluation is recommended. Please call us today to schedule your neuropathy evaluation.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser therapy or Low Level Laser Therapy is a non-invasive therapy that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to help accelerate healing process. The laser is a specific wavelength of light along with energy that has been scientifically proven by over 2000 studies to help stimulate the injured tissue to produce more energy. This increase in energy production causes a cascade of healing steps to occur and the end result is stimulated tissue repair and a decrease in pain. It is not unusual for a patient to feel an immediate difference in their pain level or an increase in their range of motion after just one treatment, but like most injuries, it is a process to help heal the body – the laser makes this process happen faster in most cases.
